The exports of Alpaca Tops in their majority, 43%, is aimed at China, second with 28% going to Italy, in third place going to the UK with 9%, with 7% going Japan, with 3% going to Germany and other 3% goes to Hong Kong, with 2% going to Taiwan, and the 5% go to other places
Annual wool production is around 2.1 million tones. Australia produces one fifth, while China, New Zealand, Iran, Argentina and the UK each produce more than 50 000 tones.
